Olympic Construction are proud to add a further accreditation to their list. The health safety and welfare of our employees and customers is paramount to Olympic Construction. Being accredited with Chas shows Olympic Construction are dedicated to undertaking the work to your property in a dedicated and safe manor.

When you the customer instruct a contractor to undertake works to your home or property, which include damp proofing, timber treatment, waterproofing, structural repairs and wall tie works these all carry risks for our technicians and you as a customers as this effectively turns your property into a building site.  Which often includes working at height for wall ties and Helifix structural repairs, damp proofing, Dry Rot and Woodworm treatments often using chemicals, and working in confined spaces, structural waterproofing can include working in damp environments with electrical tools.

The Property Care Association is the only trade body for the structural and basement waterproofing, wood preservation, damp proofing, wall tie replacement and structural maintenance industries in the UK.

To be a member of the Property Care Association, requires the surveyors to be fully qualified, the staff fully trained, and the company having sound business systems in place, which are audited for your protection as the customer. PCA members are recommended by RICS Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in home buyer’s surveys, to undertake damp timber and wall ties surveys.

TrustMark accreditation through the Property Care Association’s membership criteria and vetting methods comply with TrustMark’s strict policies. Using a TrustMark accredited contractor ensures you, as the customer all the following points:
    • Our technical skills have been independently checked through regular on-site inspections, as well as checks on our trading record and financial position;
    • We’ve signed up to a code of practice and ethics which includes insurance, health and safety, and customer care;
    • The Property Care Association has checked and will continue to monitor the quality of our work, trading practices and customer satisfaction levels.
    • We are able to offer an Insurance Backed Warranty;
    • Deposit Protection Insurance is available for you in the unlikely event we cease trading.

The scheme is fully supported by Government, the building industry and consumer protection groups.

Construction line is the Government’s national register for suppliers. The Construction Line accreditation is similar to CHAS, though the focus is on our ability to cope with the specialist work we do, both financially and technically.

The Bury Registered Tradesman Scheme has been set up by Bury local authority and Trading Standards in the North West of England this is a scheme which we fully support as its purpose is to help residents avoid unqualified companies or cowboys by providing a list of reputable businesses, who have been vetted by the local Authority.

All of the above accreditation’s are continually vetted and audited for the protection of the client, they are not awarded by paying an amount of money to receive the right to place a logo on your website to mislead the customer into assuming, the company is credible, they can all the vetted by you the customer by simply going on to the websites, we would always recommend you check out your contractors.
